Category Description:
Clare Yard will be the center of activity on the Peavine Division. I never saw Clare in real life. Not sure when I even became aware of it, but given its location it wasn't easy to get to. Or at least with the knowledge I had as a kid.

The yard ladder is based on a 1911 accident report (photo ID 642 below). Because of space, I've had to shorten the lead and the cross over from main to yard is a little different, but the design still allows for the yard crew to work while trains can pass on the main.

The yard has seven tracks in the drawing. I plan to have seven tracks as well. The main will be the nearest the front of the table. Two arrival and departure tracks will be the next two tracks. Three classification tracks will follow. Then the last track will be an overflow track and lead for the engine terminal.

The real Clare Yard was double ended. I would have to give up Morrell Meats to have a second ladder. That is a sacrifice I am not willing to make. So Clare is going to be stub ended on the Peavine Division.
